Sometimes, life just happens to be sooooo bloody wonderful!
- After 5 weeks of experiencing the seldom experienced side effects (yes, ALL of them) of my new treatment, my body has won over the side effects and life seems to be coming back to normal,
- Yesterday evening I was on my first husky train since 5 weeks again and it felt sooooooo good!
- I sent in the application for a grant from the Norwegian Cancer society to cover at least part of the costs for the lawyer and the whole 2nd opinion process and guess what: I received a quick reply from them granting my request!
- Today I received my medical journal from the translator. This guy did the most amazing job in a short period of time and was amazing in communicating his progress to me. If ever you are looking for a dedicated and utterly professional yet also personal translator with medical translation as one of his specialities, just let me know and I´ll get you his contact details!
So... I just sent in the application for a second opinion and I am kinda shaking with excitement. I have no idea what they will come back with. Obviously. I mean if I had known, then I wouldn´t have had to go through all this trouble. But I just wanna continue to hold hope that they will come back with an additional treatment that will see me through to at least my 94th birthday!
I am sure it´ll help if you´ll also keep your fingers crossed for me. Just for a bit, not the entire time. I mean I know you´ve got work to do. Or fun stuff. Or both.
As soon as there is news, I will let you know!
