Hello-dee-lo! (yes, still very much watching Friends)
It has been a while. I hope you are all doing well! Today we are back to uuuuh, well I guess it is not normal as normal has been absent for quite a while now. Not only for us, but for loads of people.
As I mentioned in previous blog posts, Norway took strict measures to try and contain the spread of Covid-19 already early March and most of them are still in place. However, there is light at the end of the Corona tunnel as per end April some restrictions will be lifted. It seems that schools and kindergartens will slowly start to open again. Not Mik´s year though as it is only the early years that will be going back to school at the end of April.
The past week we have enjoyed the Easter holidays over here with some great weather, yummy grilling and loads of husky walks. We also made a start with freshening up Mik´s room and planning some more home projects.
And now we are back to weekdays with home schooling. Plus treatment. So sort of back to our #newnormal. Plus a bit extra for the Covid-19 thingies.
Only this weekend, we came to realize that it has only been 3 months since Marco died. But blimey, a lot has happened in those 3 months! In a way it feels like an eternity, but on the other hand it was only yesterday that Marco was helping Mik with his homework.
I for one know that I am still grasping at the day-to-day straws to make sure all goes well. To make sure Mik feels that life is going on as normal as possible. Well, and me I guess. I mean, life does go on. Most practical things related to Marco´s death have been taken care of now. Except for the totally annoying and irritating and frustrating dealings with Paypal. It takes for ever and a day, and then some, to get through to them and to actually get the money out of Marco´s Paypal account transferred to my bank account. Anyway, patience and all that.
The job situation has not changed since I last blogged. I am still on 100% on sick leave and I still can not wait to get back to work. Sure, I guess I need some time for the body and soul to heal. But who says healing needs to be done in solitude. Yes, Covid-19. But after that. Anyway, taking it day by day. Or at least trying to.
So there you have it. An update from the cozy cottage here at Ensby Gård. We are doing just fine and I feel lucky with so many great people online and in the real world surrounding us. We have so many great things to look forward to, not least of all the eradication of the Corona virus.
Did I just hear the homeschool online bell for recess?
